Commanding General, Marine Corps Logistics Command
Brig. Gen. Kevin G. Collins

Brigadier General Kevin G. Collins assumed command of Marine Corps Logistics Command on July 2, 2026.

He enlisted in the Marine Corps in May 1990 and served at Marine Barracks, Washington D.C. He was selected for the Marine Enlisted Commissioning Education Program in 1993 and commissioned upon graduation from Miami University in 1995.  After completing The Basic School and Logistics Officers’ Course, was designated a logistics officer.

As a company grade officer, he served with 1st Battalion, 10th Marine Regiment, 2d Marine Division; II Marine Expeditionary Force Marine Forces Unitas; Marine Corps Combat Service Support Schools, Officer Candidates’ School and 3d Force Service Support Group, where he was promoted to Major.  As a field grade officer, Brigadier General Collins additionally served at First Marine Logistics Group and Headquarters, U.S. Marine Corps in the Plans, Policy and Operations Directorate as the Current Operations Group Section Head and senior briefer for the Commandant and Secretary of the Navy.  Brigadier General Collins served as the Commanding Officer, Combat Logistics Battalion-26, 26th Marine Expeditionary Unit and as a Military Assistant to the Department of War Executive Secretary.  As a Colonel, Brigadier General Collins served as the Assistant Chief of Staff,     G-4, 3d Marine Division; Commanding Officer, Marine Corps Logistics Operations Group; and Director, Logistics Combat Element Integration Division, Combat Development Directorate, Combat Development and Integration at Headquarters, U.S. Marine Corps.

His operational experience includes combat deployments in support of Operation Enduring Freedom and Operation Iraqi Freedom, serving with the Office of Military Cooperation–Afghanistan in 2004, 1st Marine Logistics Group (Forward) in Iraq 2008 and 2009, and Combat Logistics Battalion 1 in Afghanistan in 2009 and 2010.

As a general officer, he served as Deputy Commander, Marine Forces Reserve and Marine Forces South, Deputy Director of Operations on the Joint Staff and Commanding General, 3d Marine Logistics Group, III Marine Expeditionary Force.

His military education includes Amphibious Warfare School, U.S. Army Command and General Staff College, U.S. Army School of Advanced Military Studies, Dwight D. Eisenhower School for National Security and Resource Strategy, and the United Kingdom Higher Command and Staff Course.
