Marine Depot Maintenance Command
Public/Public & Public/Private Partnerships

Marine Corps Logistics Command Mission: “To provide worldwide, integrated logistics/supply chain and distribution management; maintenance management; and strategic prepositioning capability in support of the operating forces and other supported units to maximize their readiness and sustainability and to support enterprise and program level Total Life Cycle Management."

The Marine Depot Maintenance Command (MDMC) is an integral part of Marine Corps Logistics Command, and supports the war fighter by making the strategy of requirement fulfillment a tangible reality. The mission requirements are fulfilled between Production Plant Albany (PPA) and Production Plant Barstow (PPB). These plants provide complete rebuild or inspection and repair as necessary on all Marine Corps ground equipment.

MARCORLOGCOM actively seeks potential business prospects for public/public and public/private partnerships with federal government, state government, foreign military sales (FMS), small business and private industry partners. Today, MARCORLOGCOM is actively engaged in public/private and public/public partnerships. These types of arrangements can create business relationships that are beneficial for both industry and government agencies. We will capitalize on each other’s tangible strengths and intangible benefits that will produce a win for our customer.

PPB and PPA have been designated as Centers of Industrial and Technical Excellence (CITE) by the Secretary of the Navy. Services provided: Estimates, engineering, research and development, equipment maintenance, complete rebuild, calibration, electronics, optics, weapons, blast, paint, and various other projects as directed. Our unique facilities and equipment, locations, core competencies, and dedicated Civilian Marines have made our Marine production plants the target for partnership type arrangements. “Anything is possible, especially when dealing with a Marine Production Plant.” (Business Development Office 2013).
