U. S. Marine Corps Career PlanningThe Career Planner for Marine Corps Logistics Command (LOGCOM) serves as a special staff officer, responsible directly to the Commanding General for all aspects of enlisted retention. Additionally, serves as a liaison between the command (LOGCOM) and Headquarters Marine Corps (MMEA-6) on all enlisted retention matters.

The primary mission is taking care of Marines in LOGCOM by assisting them in improving their performance and competitiveness for promotion and retention. This includes advising the enlisted Marines within LOGCOM on just a few of the following items:

1) Enlisted Career Force Controls (ECFC's), such as the service limitation change for our Sergeants (E-5’s) which is now 10 years;

2) Promotion tempos;

3) Covering required professional military education (PME) such as understanding Fitness Reports;

4) Special duty assignments (SDA’s)

5) Changing primary MOS’s (occupation specialties) for lateral move requests;

6) Involuntary separation pay for those Marines that may have to exit the Marine Corps earlier than planned;

7) Transition counseling service for both enlisted and officers.
