Sergeant Tatiana J. Corbeil, a quality assurance representative with Blount Island Command, is a Sarasota, Florida, native. She enlisted in December 2018 and completed training at Marine Corps Recruit Depot Parris Island. Upon graduation, she was meritoriously promoted to private first class, setting the stage for a career defined by growth, leadership and commitment.

Reflecting on her decision to join the Marine Corps, Sergeant Corbeil shared, “I was first inspired to join the Marine Corps because I thought it would be a challenge that would shape my life for the better. Now, whenever it gets too easy, I find a new challenge to keep it interesting!”

After completing a successful tour with Marine Aviation Logistics Squadron 16, Sergeant Corbeil was assigned to Blount Island Command in Jacksonville, Florida, in October 2023. During her time there, she attended the Quality Assurance Representative course and the Maritime Prepositioning Force Planners’ course, while also earning 16 licenses in ground support equipment. These accomplishments enhanced her role as the Mobile Facilities Coordinator and Quality Assurance Representative in the Aviation Support Management Branch, where she assisted in the Mobile Facilities Global Positioning Network plans for the Australia Aircraft Wing.

Sergeant Corbeil’s leadership extended beyond her technical duties. She was handpicked to serve as the NCO in charge of Headquarters Company and the training NCO in charge, where her leadership skills played an essential role in ensuring the success of the command. She also volunteered for several additional responsibilities, including serving as the Uniformed Readiness Coordinator for the command and as the Marine Corps Ball Committee Staff NCO in Charge. Her efforts in the Unit Personal and Family Readiness Program (UPFRP) were especially impactful, as she worked tirelessly to improve command morale and support the families of Marines.

Reflecting on her time with UPFRP, Sergeant Corbeil said, “I’m incredibly proud of my contributions to the command as the Uniformed Readiness Coordinator. I’m proud of how far the UPFRP has come, how many times we’ve been able to bring the command together over the past year, and how many families we were able to reach out to and provide for.”

Her dedication to her unit and peers earned her the Impact Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal, a testament to her exceptional service. Reflecting on being named NCO of the Year, Sergeant Corbeil humbly credits the teamwork and mentorship that shaped her success: “Honestly, for me, this represents a culmination of a year of teamwork, mentorship, and the unwavering support of my peers and leaders. I strongly believe this recognition simply reflects the team I’ve been fortunate to be part of.”

For junior Marines seeking to excel within LOGCOM or the Marine Corps, Sergeant Corbeil offers valuable advice: “Stay curious, stay humble, and keep soaking up knowledge wherever you can. Take the time to really understand your role and how it contributes to the bigger picture—it’ll give you a sense of purpose. Build strong connections with your peers and mentors because those relationships will guide and support you. And don’t be afraid to push yourself beyond your comfort zone—that’s where the real growth happens.”

She also emphasizes the importance of mentorship in her own career, noting the many opportunities for guidance and influence at Blount Island. “Blount Island is one of those unique places where so many opportunities for mentorship and influence exist, from all ranks,” she explained. “The key is to listen to advice from different perspectives and use it to guide your decisions—not let others make those decisions for you.”

Sergeant Corbeil’s career shows her commitment to service, teamwork, and continuous growth. She is grateful for the opportunities she’s had to serve alongside such dedicated Marines and looks forward to continuing to mentor and support others in the same way she has been mentored. “Every challenge has been a learning experience, and every success has been a team effort,” she said. “I hope to continue paying it forward by mentoring and supporting others the same way I have been.”

Sergeant Corbeil’s selection as LOGCOM NCO of the Year is a recognition of her outstanding contributions to the Marine Corps and her unwavering commitment to excellence.

Marine Corps Logistics Command and Blount Island Command congratulates Sergeant Tatiana J. Corbeil on this remarkable achievement.
