Marine Corps Logistics Command (LOGCOM) congratulates Lance Cpl. Aidan T. Snee, Marine Air-Ground Task Force planner, Headquarters Battalion, on being selected as the LOGCOM 2024 Marine of the Year.
Snee, a Philadelphia native, said receiving the award is a meaningful achievement.
“Being named Marine of the Year is a significant honor that impacts me both personally and professionally,” Snee said. “On a personal level, it has instilled a sense of pride and encourages me to continue upholding the Marine Corps’ core values. Professionally, I believe it will enhance my potential and provide opportunities to learn from senior leaders.”
Snee’s interest in military service began at an early age. During high school, he researched different branches and determined that the Marine Corps best aligned with his values and aspirations. His recruiter, Staff Sgt. Emanuel Masache, played a pivotal role in his decision, offering insight into Marine Corps history, requirements and career opportunities.
At LOGCOM, Snee has excelled in professional development programs, including the Lance Corporal Seminar, where he was selected as class leader. His commitment to excellence led him to become a Combat Marksmanship Coach, allowing him to mentor and support fellow Marines on the rifle range.
“After completing boot camp, many friends from my hometown reached out for guidance,” he said. “I told them it’s imperative to understand the level of commitment required to be a Marine. Appearance, fitness, conduct and a strong work ethic are essential, regardless of rank, MOS or duty station.”
Snee credits his family for instilling the values that have guided him throughout his Marine Corps journey. He also acknowledges the mentorship of Gunnery Sgt. Timothy Necker, the G-3/5 Enterprise Distribution Division MAGTF plans chief, who has provided hands-on training opportunities, including planning conferences and temporary additional duty courses, to further his understanding of his MOS.
Marine Corps Logistics Command is proud to recognize Lance Cpl. Aidan T. Snee for his exceptional performance and contributions to the mission.
