This week, the first gathering of the Assault Amphibious Vehicle (AAV) Users Group took place at Marine Depot Maintenance Command’s production plant at Marine Corps Logistics Base, Albany, Ga. The forum provided an opportunity for current and potential users of the AAV platform from around the globe to collaborate with International Programs representatives and program managers from Marine Corps Systems Command, as well as maintainers and sustainment professionals from Marine Corps Logistics Command.

Officials from Bahrain, Brazil, Indonesia, Italy, Japan, and Romania received presentations about AAV maintenance and sustainment strategies, plans for divestiture, experiences, and future opportunities for Foreign Military Sales. Additionally, they took guided tours of the depot and the AAV storage locations managed by the Marine Force Storage Command.
