Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense visits LOGCOM

Marine Corps Logistics Command (MARCORLOGCOM) welcomed Dr. Vic S. Ramdass, Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense, Materiel Readiness, to Marine Corps Logistics Base Albany, Ga., Sept. 12.

Dr. Ramdass met SES Erin M. Kern, Executive Deputy, MARCORLOGCOM, and other senior LOGCOM leaders, received a command overview brief, and toured select Marine Force Storage Command (MFSC) and Marine Depot Maintenence Command (MDMC) facilities.

Highlights of the MFSC tour included the newest Combat Vehicle Storage Warehouse, and a brief on the progress of MFSC's 5G to NEXTG modernization initiative. 

Dr. Ramdass tour of MDMC included a walk through Production Plant Albany and a demonstration of MDMC's Advanced Manufacturing Center of Excellence capabilities.
