Marine Corps Logistics Base, Albany, Ga. -- Marines and Civilian-Marines of the Cougar Reset Team, Cost Work Center (CWC) 273, Production Plant Albany (PPA), Marine Depot Maintenance Command (MDMC), received a Letter of Appreciation from the U.S. Air Force Mine-Resistant, Ambush-Protected (MRAP) Vehicle Program Office Friday, April 8.
The letter expressed appreciation to the entire PPA Cougar Reset Team for their outstanding efforts and professionalism in support of the USAF MRAP Cougar Inspect Repair Only As Necessary (IROAN) Reset effort.
The team’s work produced more than two-hundred Cougar resets and firewall replacements over the past six years.
An excerpt from the letter states, “The attention to detail and determination to put out quality products that protect the lives of our service members was evident at all levels from management to the highly skilled technicians.”
Civilian-Marines cited for appreciation are Eric Gilmer, Bobby Benson, Donna Kimbrell, Neal Lewis, Temple Boone, Brandon Franks, Eric Smith, Shane Davis, Al Gibbs, Carson Hufstetler, Fred Mallard, Steve Vinavong, Alan Cortez, Corey Lacey, John Pate Sr., Vivian Bryant, Andrew Stanford, Craig Dominey, Jonny Pate Jr., Zac Taylor, and Zach Truesdale.
The USAF MRAP Program Office specifically recognized CWC 273 team members in the letter saying, “These individuals have provided unmatched customer service in support of the USAF Cougar MRAP Program producing high quality, reliable weapon systems.”
The letter highlights MDMC’s outstanding success in providing inter-service maintenance support as a Depot Source of Repair.
Throughout the effort, the team continuously improved their processes, and demonstrated flexibility to the customer as their program needs evolved.
