DLA-MARCORLOGCOM Leadership Engagement Seeks Increased Integration

Marine Corps Logistics Command (MARCORLOGCOM), Marine Depot Maintenance Command (MDMC) and Marine Corps Logistics Base Albany (MCLB-A) leadership hosted SES Kristen K. French, deputy director, DLA Logistics Operations, and SES Kenneth D. Watson, deputy commander, DLA Land and Maritime for a visit consisting of briefs and tours while at MCLB-Albany, Ga., March 24.

The overall purpose of the visit is to support DLA's Industrial Supply Integration (ISI) initiative. DLA and MARCORLOGCOM began work to implement their ISI in 2021.

The milestone event started with briefs at MDMC’s Production Plant Albany (PPA), followed by a tour of the plant and the industrial areas where ISI would take place.

DLA Distribution assumed retail storage and distribution roles at Marine Corps industrial sites in Barstow, California, and Albany, Georgia, following the BRAC 2005 directive, but the Marine Corps retained supply functions. The ISI completes the final leg of the requirement.

The initiative is scheduled to be completed in Oct.
