Logistice Services Management Center
Mission:

The Logistics Services Management Center (LSMC) manages and executes a diverse collection of  ten product and services, grouped into five key business lines, all with one common focus – the Warfighter.

Each product & service delivers critical supply support directly to Marines serving around the world.  Together, they allow LSMC to fulfill its mission of providing valuable supply management and integration services across the Marine Corps enterprise.

Overview:

To accomplish our mission, LSMC manages a global network of supply chain activities from our home base and program management HQ in Albany Georgia.  The Center manages deployable resources that can adapt to ever-changing theaters of operations. Spread across a total of 68 sites across the globe, LSMC’s personnel and facilities are strategically co-located along side Marine Forces throughout the world to provide dedicated, on-site supply chain services such as:

  • Consolidate Storage Programs (~25 Locations)
  • Command, Control, Communications, Computers, and Intelligence Support Services (15 Locations)
  • Equipment and Receiving Distribution Team (8 locations)
  • Supplier Relationship Management (6 Locations)
  • Coordinated Secondary Reparable Management (7 locations)

PRODUCTS AND SERVICES

 

Consolidated Storage Program (CSP)
  • Provide ICE, STAP, CBRN and SWS&CN equipment to all USMC operating forces
  • Perform centralized item management and consolidated storage to increase readiness and asset availability

 




           
           
Supplier Relationship Management (SRM)

  • Maximize supply support from wholesale providers
  • Ensure responsiveness to supplier concerns
  • Develop and manage productive supplier relationships
  • Advocate for retail customer to optimize responsiveness in support of Warfighter

 

 

 

                         
Coordinated Secondary Reparable Management (CSM)
  • Improve the effectiveness and efficiency of SECREP support via continual process improvement
  • Provide business advisory and training support to RIP’s to ensure sustained SECREP support                         

 

 

 
   

 

 
 

Enterprise Radiological Control Services

  • Serve as the focal point for the control and management of radioactive commodities in the Marine Corps, under the MARCORLOGCOM NRMP

Small Arms Tracking Executive Agent (SAEA)

  • Manage and oversee enterprise small arms inventory to ensure complete visibility, accountability and safeguarding of all Marine Corps small arms

Equipment and Receiving Distribution Teams (ERDT)

Provide on-site logistics support at IIP’s to facilitate initial equipment receipt and distribution at the MEF’s, MARSOC, and MARFORRES

Shelf Life Management (SLM)

  • Serve as MARCORLOGCOM focal point for all matters related to the shelf life of wholesale inventory items

 

 

 

PDREP

Product Quality Discrepancy Report (PQDR) Management

  • Serve as PQDR screening point for all ground equipment related PQDR’s related to Marine Corps assets

Supply Discrepancy Report (SDR) Management

  • Serve as SDR process owner for the Marine Corps
    Screen and process offline SDRs
  • Serve as screening point for all Marine Corps SDRs submitted via EZPDR
  • Provide assistance to Marine Corps users with SDR disputes

 

 Command, Control, Communications, Computers, and Intelligence Support Services

Command, Control, Communications, Computers, and Intelligence Support Services (C4IS2)

  • Manage Contractor Logistics Support (CLS) sustainment services of COTS equipment for over 100 C4I weapons systems
  • Oversee metrics and quality assurance programs to ensure adequate readiness levels 
                       
LSMC Organization
LSMC follows overarching guidance and strategic direction to accomplish three key objectives:
  • Integrate best practices throughout the supply chain to enhance sustainability planning across the enterprise
  • Centralize program management to provide consistent, efficient, and uniform (customer-focused) logistics services
  • Increase influence and impact to all 8 phases of TLCM, with increased focus on equipment readiness (“S” and “R”)

These key objectives are the daily focus of LSMC’s 23 Military personnel, 88 Civilians, and over 450 contractors.  Our people are deployed within five program management divisions  and one operations division, together making up a unified team that provides critical Logistics Services to the Marine Corps.
