G-3/5 integrates command activities:

Integrating actions, coordinating, controlling and preparing responses to both internal and external operational logistics-related inquiries and issues on behalf of the senior staff and the Commanding General.

Performing higher, adjacent, and subordinate command coordination functions in support of the operating forces.

Coordinating the creation of synergy among the stakeholders, consolidating the various areas of expertise and shortening the lines of communication required to achieve a desired outcome.

G3/5 Mission
Direct MARCORLOGCOM’s operations, deliberate planning, future plans, and strategic management in order to provide required service and operational-level logistics capabilities maximizing Marine Corps readiness and sustainability.

National Capital Region Liaison
Purpose: To represent MARCORLOGCOM at higher and adjacent headquarters, departments, agencies, and other logistics partners within the NCR in order to coordinate and promote cooperation to ensure mutual understanding and unity of purpose. Manage MARCORLOGCOM’s external relationships with stakeholder NCR organizations.
Task 1:
Provide subject matter expertise, information, and advice to NCR organizations to create situational awareness, influence support, and gain advocacy for MARCORLOGCOM’s mission, capabilities, operations, programs, initiatives, long-range plans, and future strategies.
Task 2:
Provide a communication conduit to elevate issues and significant concerns from stakeholder NCR organizations to the appropriate leaders within MARCORLOGCOM.
Command Operations Division
Purpose: Command Operations provides command strategic communications, congressional testimony preparation, and tasker management/responses to information inquiries in order to articulate command communication with higher and adjacent commands. Command Operations will also provide fiscal, administrative, training, safety, material, and personnel resources in support of the G-3/5 mission.
