Maintenance Management Center (MMC)

Mission:

To serve as the Marine Corps Logistics Command focal point for Marine Corps integrated maintenance management in support of ground weapon systems.

Overview:

The MMC plays an integral role in support of the supply chain, and serves to bridge the gap from the strategic focus of the SMC to the tactical fulfillment of requirements through the use of people, processes and technology. The section below takes a closer look at the role ofthe MMC.

The MMC is the focal point for Marine Corps wide maintenance management in support of ground weapon systems and future opportunities. They are the champion for maintenance solutions and provide oversight for the execution of the depot level maintenance program.  The MMC maximizes the use of available resources by synchronizing and integrating maintenance related information, products and financial flows. The following three statements highlight the role that the MMC plays in fulfilling requirements and serving the MARCORLOGCOM customer:

(1) Executes and monitors the depot level maintenance program to ensure all customer requirements are met.

(2) Maximizes the use of available resources by synchronizing and integrating maintenance information, products and financial flows for efficient requirement fulfillment.

(3) Serves as the link between strategic resources and tactical support for the maintenance related requirement fulfillment.

 Marine Expeditionary Force (MEF) Maintenance Solutions and Support

 Provide overflow maintenance support to the MEFs, Intermediate Maintenance Activities, and use Contracted Logistics Support to facilitate requirements.

The MARCORLOGCOM Maintenance Assist Team (MMAT) is comprised of Marines with various maintenance-related Military Occupational Specialties (MOS’s) that provide rapidly deployable mission support for LOGCOM, as well as MEF and MARFORRES technical assistance and Reset support.

Depot Maintenance Performance Analysis 

Oversees Depot workload scheduling and performance activities, budgets, cost estimates, parts forecasting to meet customer requirements, and monitor and perform analysis of workload and financial execution.

Serve as a Logistics Element Manager (LEM) for weapon systems maintenance planning.  Also serve as LOGCOM’s interface with MARCORSYSCOM and PEO Land Systems during the Core Determination and Depot Source of Repair (DSOR) process.

Maintenance Workload Planning and Scheduling for Sustainment

Source and schedule Depot Maintenance to meet customer requirements in compliance with Title 10, through organic, commercial and Depot Maintenance Inter-Service Support Activity (DMISA) sources of repair (SOR).

Provide Maintenance Management strategic initiatives, data mining and analysis, and DoD reporting for Marine Corps Maintenance Management programs.

Coordinate flow of information when external requests for maintenance information/action (RFI/RFA) responses.
